For the solo, you have to use toms trademark toggle switch method, if u play a gibson, put the tone on the rythm side all the way down and the tone on the treble side all the way up. he also uses a variety of pedals to get that weird kazoo sound.
An octave pedal, a wah pedal, a distortion pedal, and a harmonizer.
